Email verification, password resets, sign-in options, and what happens to your data when you delete things.
Signing up and verifying your email
You can create an account with Google or with email and password.
Email signups must verify their address before signing in: we send a verification link at signup, and clicking it signs you in and lands you on your dashboard. Didn't get it? Check spam, or use the resend button shown after signup and on the login page. Google accounts are verified automatically.
Passwords
Forgot yours? Use Forgot password on the login page. We email a reset link that's valid for one hour and works once. For security, the page won't reveal whether an email has an account; the message is the same either way.
Where your recordings live
Your captured steps, snapshots, and screenshots are stored encrypted in transit and served over HTTPS. Draft demos are visible only to your account; only demos you explicitly publish get a public link.
Snapshots are also defanged on our servers before they're ever shown: scripts, forms, and anything executable inside a captured page is stripped, so a demo can render a page without running it.
Deleting things
Deletion is real deletion:

| A demo | The demo, all its steps, and all stored snapshots and screenshots are removed immediately. The share link stops working. |
| Your account | Everything above, for everything you ever made, plus your profile. Gone is gone. |
Delete your account from Settings on the dashboard. If anything about your data worries you, email support@escourtly.com and you'll get a straight answer.
