Share links

What viewers experience on the public share page, and how the link behaves.

Every published demo has one public URL on our dedicated demo domain:

https://demo.escourtly.com/your-demo-id

Send it anywhere. It works in any modern browser, on a phone or a laptop, with no account, no extension, and no cookie banner standing between your product and the viewer.

What viewers see

The cover

Your cover screen: title, subtitle, and a start button over the demo's opening frame.

The walkthrough

Steps rendered from real HTML snapshots, with your hotspots pointing at the action and your annotations telling the story. Viewers move with the Back and Next buttons at their own pace.

The call to action

The closing overlay with your CTA button, plus an optional restart.

Behavior worth knowing

  • The link shows the version you published. Draft edits stay private until you publish again; see Publish and share.
  • Snapshots are inert. Buttons inside the captured page don't submit and links don't navigate. The only interactive elements are yours: navigation, hotspots, CTA.
  • Every visit is measured. Views, completion, and CTA clicks land in your analytics, anonymously.
  • Blur travels with the demo. Regions you blurred are hidden for every viewer, everywhere.
  • Old-style links keep working. Links in the escourtly.com/share/... format redirect permanently to the demo domain.
  • Want the link on your own domain? Pro users can serve demos from e.g. demos.yourcompany.com — see Custom domains.

Share it well

A link dropped without context underperforms. Two patterns that consistently work:

  • Name the payoff: "Here's a 60 second walkthrough of how imports work" gets more clicks than "check out our demo".
  • Put it where the question is asked: in the pricing follow-up email, in the support reply, in the feature announcement. The demo answers best right where curiosity happens.

For putting the demo inside a page rather than behind a link, see Embed.
