Supademo and Guideflow both turn a click-through of your product into an interactive demo you can share as a link or embed. On the surface they look alike: a Chrome extension, a free plan, a demo editor and analytics. The differences show up in three places: how much you pay before you get HTML capture, how much AI is built into the editor, and which security and team features sit behind the top plans.
This comparison is based on each vendor's pricing page, product pages and documentation, read on 24 and 26 October 2026. Where the two sources disagreed, or the docs said nothing, that is noted rather than guessed.
The short version
- Supademo is the better fit if you want AI-assisted editing (an in-dashboard assistant, an MCP server and bulk step rewriting), a generous free plan for trying the format, and a lower price for guided HTML demos if you have one or two creators.
- Guideflow is the better fit if you want the cheapest paid entry point, a mix of screenshot, video, HTML and sandbox capture in one tool, and automatic blurring of sensitive data, and you can live with a watermark on the free plan.

Capture: more similar than different
Both tools record through a Chrome extension, with Mac and Windows desktop apps and a Figma plugin for design mockups. Both offer the same three ideas under slightly different names.
Supademo records either an HTML and CSS clone of each page or a screenshot at each click. A guided HTML demo keeps hover states, animations and clickable elements, and text stays editable. A sandbox demo is a front-end clone with no backend, where a viewer can click in any order. Its docs say mobile apps are captured by mirroring the screen to a desktop or by uploading media. The docs I read did not say how iframes, canvas elements or shadow DOM are handled, so test those on your own product if they matter.
Guideflow describes screen capture for speed, HTML capture for deeper customisation, and sandbox capture, which stitches HTML captures into a self-contained environment. You can combine screen and HTML capture inside one guideflow, which suits a flow that crosses your app and a third-party tool you cannot capture. The pricing page also lists multi-tab capture, a screen resizer and typing and scrolling animation. Its docs do not give documented limits for screenshot or video capture.
Editing and personalisation
Supademo's editor covers text and number editing on HTML demos, blur and "smart masking", zoom and pan, callouts, hotspots and chapters. Branching ("let viewers pick a path by role") and variables such as {{name}} and {{company}}, filled from the share link, are listed from the Scale plan up. AI voices are described as 25+ languages in the editor FAQ, although other pages cite a larger voice catalogue, so check the current language list before you promise a specific one.
Guideflow's pricing page lists a long editing set: blur for sensitive elements, hide and blur of HTML elements, pan and zoom, hotspot, walkthrough and spotlight steps, find and replace, dynamic variables, presenter notes and three levels of branching (basic, conditional and advanced). Its AI page describes AI translation in 100+ languages, AI voiceover in 40+ languages and AI avatars. Many of the editing features are tied to the Startup tier and up. If you plan to stay on Solo, check the list before assuming a feature is included.
AI: the clearest difference in philosophy
Supademo puts AI at the centre. AI Command is an in-dashboard assistant on paid plans that can rewrite step titles in bulk, and its docs say any content-changing action requires your approval. The MCP server lets Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and others edit demos from outside, and AI Demo Agents are a usage-based add-on priced in credits (1,400 credits for $99, up to 12,500 for $500, with 1,500 free credits per workspace).
Guideflow has an MCP server too, with 80 tools including creating, publishing, exporting and pulling analytics, and a per-tool setting of "always allow", "needs approval" or "blocked". Its pricing page lists the MCP under different tiers in different places, so confirm which plan includes it before you buy for that reason.
Sharing, embedding and leads
Both tools give you a public link, an iframe embed, password protection and lead forms. Supademo adds email-gated and SSO-gated sharing, popup and in-app embeds, exports to MP4, GIF and PDF, and SCORM 1.2, according to its docs index. Guideflow adds expiry dates, domain-based access, personalised share pages with UTM parameters, offline demos on its Advanced plan, and exports to MP4, GIF and PDF. Custom domains are on Guideflow's Advanced plan; the Supademo pages I read did not say which plan includes one.
Analytics and integrations
Supademo tracks viewer counts, completion, session duration, CTA clicks, drop-off and per-viewer sessions, with workspace-level and per-demo views. Its integrations page lists HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Zapier, Marketo, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Seismic and webhooks, but does not say which plan unlocks which.
Guideflow's free plan keeps analytics for 7 days and paid plans list "advanced analytics". Its homepage claims 3,000+ integrations, and its docs index has pages for Zapier, Slack, HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Segment, Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Outreach, Highspot and Zendesk. The only plan gate I could confirm is the Slack or Teams channel on Startup and up.
Security and teams
Both vendors state SOC 2 Type II and GDPR alignment. SAML SSO is an Enterprise feature on both. Supademo lists AES-256 encryption at rest, data residency in several regions and a promise that customer data is not used to train AI models. Guideflow lists penetration tests, a 99.9% SLA and hosting on Google Cloud and Cloudflare.
Seats work differently. Supademo bills per creator and adds view-only collaborators (5 on Scale, unlimited on Business and above). Guideflow's Solo plan includes one member with $35 for each extra user, and Startup includes 10 members with $50 for each extra. One inconsistency: Guideflow's pricing table says the free plan has one team member, while its FAQ says up to three.
What it costs over a year
| Scenario | Supademo | Guideflow |
|---|---|---|
| One person, screenshot-style demos | Scale: $456 a year billed annually | Solo: $420 a year billed yearly |
| One person, HTML demos | Business: $2,388 a year billed annually | Startup: $5,988 a year billed yearly |
| Five people, HTML demos | Growth: $4,200 a year billed annually | Startup (10 members included): $5,988 a year billed yearly |
On monthly billing every figure is higher: Scale $600, Solo $480, Business $2,988, Growth $5,400 and Startup $7,188 a year. For one or two creators who need HTML demos, Supademo is clearly cheaper. For a team of five to ten, Guideflow's included members narrow the gap.

Create a free demo →Which should you choose?
- Choose Supademo if you want AI-assisted editing and an MCP server, a free plan that includes video recordings, or a lower price for HTML demos with a small team.
- Choose Guideflow if the cheapest paid plan matters most, you want screenshot, HTML and sandbox capture under one roof, or you have a larger team that benefits from 10 included members.
- Test either one on your own product first. Capture quality varies by app, and neither vendor documents its limits for iframes or canvas content.
Common questions
Can I try HTML capture before paying? Both free plans are limited. Supademo's free plan includes guided demos (5) while its docs say guided HTML demos start on Business. Guideflow's free plan lists screenshot and mobile demos only, with HTML capture on Startup and above. Run a trial on your real app before committing.
Is there a watermark? On Guideflow's free plan, yes. Supademo's pricing page does not mention one.
Which has better AI? Supademo has more documented AI tooling in the editor. Guideflow lists AI translation, voiceover, avatars and an AI assistant, so the difference is smaller than the marketing suggests.
