Supademo alternatives: what each one costs and who it fits

If you want live HTML demos at a flat price for one or two people, start with Escourtly or Guideflow Solo. If you will add many teammates and want a free plan to try first, Supademo itself or Arcade is likely better.

If you are looking for supademo alternatives, the reason is usually one of three. Supademo bills per creator, so the Scale plan at $38 per creator per month (billed annually; $50 on monthly billing) becomes $380 a month for ten creators. The jump from Scale to Business is steep, because guided HTML demos only start on Business at $199 per month billed annually. And a few G2 reviewers mention the same small gaps: limited AI voiceover choices and the occasional glitch while recording. Supademo is also well liked, especially for how easy and fast it is to start, and it has a real free plan (1 creator, 5 demos, 50 video recordings). So the question is not whether Supademo is good. It is whether one specific limit is costing you.

This page covers supademo alternatives, and Escourtly, my product, is on the list, so weigh my opinion accordingly. I put it first because this page is for small teams and solo founders, and that is who I built it for. Every price below comes from each company's own pricing page, checked on 14 October 2026, and I note where a competitor is the better pick.

Escourtly

Escourtly product screenshot

Best for: Solo founders and tiny teams who want live HTML demos for one flat price

Escourtly is a Chrome extension. You click through your product once and it captures the real HTML and CSS of every step, not a screenshot, so viewers can scroll, click and select text like they would in the live product. AI writes the step descriptions and you fix anything afterwards in a visual editor: hotspots, blur and redact, zoom, and drag to reorder.

There is one plan: the Founder Plan at $49 per month, billed monthly. It includes unlimited walkthroughs and steps, lead capture with CRM integrations, custom branding, custom domains, no login share links and embeds for sites like Webflow, Framer, WordPress, Shopify and React. This is an early price and it will not stay this way forever. We will raise it later and update this page when we do; the site says people who buy now keep the Founder Plan price.

Honest limit: There is no free plan listed on the site and no cheaper tier, so every other tool here starts lower at $0. The site does not list sandbox demos, branching, AI voiceovers or team seats, and Escourtly is newer than every competitor on this page.

Storylane

Storylane product screenshot

Best for: Teams that will grow into several seats and want HTML editing later

Storylane has a free plan with 1 seat and 1 published demo. Starter is $40 per seat per month billed annually ($50 on monthly billing), with unlimited published demos and custom branding. Growth is $500 per month billed annually for 5 seats and adds the HTML demo editor, personalization tokens and A/B testing.

Premium is $1,200 per month billed annually for 10 seats and adds Salesforce, multi language demos and SSO.

Honest limit: The HTML editor is locked to Growth at $500 per month, a bigger jump than Supademo's Scale to Business step, and the free plan allows only 1 published demo.

Arcade

Arcade product screenshot

Best for: People who also want polished videos and exports from the same tool

Arcade's free plan includes 1 published demo, 1 published video and 200 AI credits a month. Growth is $42.50 per seat per month billed yearly ($50 on monthly billing), for up to 10 users and 800 AI credits a month. It adds branching, CTAs and forms, AI translations, MP4 and GIF exports, custom branding and a team workspace.

Demos do not use credits; videos cost 50 credits per 30 seconds and visuals cost 50 credits each, so 800 credits is about 16 videos or visuals a month.

Honest limit: Credits cap the AI video side, and the free plan allows only 1 published demo and 1 published video. Arcade's feature table lists HTML capture, but I could not confirm which plan includes it.

Guideflow

Guideflow product screenshot

Best for: Solo users who want unlimited demos at the lowest paid price

Guideflow's free plan gives you 5 guideflows and 1 team member, with a watermark. Solo is $35 per month billed yearly ($40 on monthly billing) for unlimited guideflows, advanced analytics, lead forms, AI translation and video or GIF export, with $35 for each extra user.

HTML capture and HTML based demos appear on the Startup plan, $499 per month billed yearly ($599 monthly).

Honest limit: Solo is screenshot and mobile demos only; HTML capture starts at $499, so it does not solve the HTML problem cheaply.

Navattic

Navattic product screenshot

Best for: Marketing and sales teams with budget and a CRM

Navattic's Starter is free for 1 seat and 1 demo. Base is $500 per month billed annually for 5 seats, with unlimited HTML demos, AI voiceovers, Salesforce and Marketo and 25+ integrations. Growth is $1,000 per month billed annually for 10 seats and adds sandbox demos, translation, custom domains and SSO.

The page also mentions a plan for bootstrapped and seed stage teams of 30 or fewer, but no price is published; you have to contact them.

Honest limit: The paid entry point is $6,000 a year for the Base plan, and the free plan allows just 1 demo, so it is hard to justify for a solo founder.

Where the price jumps on Supademo

The price step to watch on Supademo is the one between Scale and Business. Scale is $38 per creator per month billed annually, which is $456 a year for one creator. Guided HTML demos start on Business at $199 per month billed annually, which is $2,388 a year.

Business includes one creator and charges $50 for each extra one. Growth is $350 per month billed annually for five creators, with $50 for each extra creator. Add up the creators you expect to have before you compare it with a flat-price tool.

What a year costs on each tool

Tool Cheapest paid plan, per year Entry plan with HTML capture, per year
Supademo $456 (Scale, 1 creator, billed annually) $2,388 (Business, 1 creator, billed annually)
Escourtly $588 (Founder Plan, billed monthly, 12 x $49) $588 (the same plan)
Storylane $480 (Starter, 1 seat, billed annually) $6,000 (Growth, 5 seats, billed annually)
Arcade $510 (Growth, 1 seat, billed yearly) Not confirmed. Arcade lists HTML capture but not which plan includes it
Guideflow $420 (Solo, billed yearly) $5,988 (Startup, billed yearly)
Navattic $6,000 (Base, 5 seats, billed annually) Not confirmed on its pricing page

Calculated from the prices in the pricing table: the monthly price shown, times 12. Escourtly is billed monthly; the others show annual billing, and their monthly billing costs more. Check the pricing table for those prices.

How to test a replacement before you move

Do not move off Supademo on a feature list alone. An afternoon of testing tells you more:

  • Pick the one flow you show most often and record it in each tool, on the same screen size.
  • Click every state in the result: hover effects, dropdowns, modals and tabs. Note which tool keeps them.
  • Look for real customer names and numbers on screen, and check that you can blur or edit them.
  • Embed the demo on a test page and open it on a phone. Note how fast it loads and whether it fits.
  • Send the link to someone who has not seen your product and watch where they hesitate.
  • Check what analytics you get and whether you can get leads out to your CRM.
  • Write down the price of the plan that includes everything on this list, not the entry price.

Frequently asked questions

Why would someone look for a Supademo alternative?

Mostly pricing and limits: per creator billing that grows quickly with a team, guided HTML demos only starting on the Business plan at $199 per month billed annually, and small gaps such as AI voiceover variety that G2 reviewers mention. Supademo itself is easy to start with and has a free plan, so many people stay.

Is there a free alternative to Supademo?

Storylane, Arcade, Navattic and Guideflow all have free plans, but each is tight: Storylane and Navattic allow 1 published demo, Arcade allows 1 demo and 1 video, and Guideflow allows 5 guideflows with a watermark. Supademo's own free plan allows 5 demos. Escourtly has no free plan listed.

What is cheaper than Supademo?

For one person, Guideflow Solo is $35 per month billed yearly against Supademo Scale at $38, a small gap. Escourtly's Founder Plan is $49 per month, which is higher than Scale but well below Supademo Business at $199, where guided HTML demos start.

Is there an open source alternative to Supademo?

People do search for one, but I did not research open source tools, and none of the tools on this page is an open source project as far as their pricing pages say. I would rather say that than guess.

What is the difference between HTML demos and screenshot demos?

A screenshot demo is a series of images with clickable hotspots. An HTML demo saves the page's real code, so text can be selected and the page scales with the screen. Supademo, Storylane, Navattic, Guideflow and Escourtly all offer HTML capture on some plan; the plan where it starts is the difference.

Is Supademo worth it for a solo founder?

Its free plan covers 1 creator and 5 demos, so it costs nothing to test. Once you need HTML demos, the Business plan at $199 per month billed annually is the next step, and that is where a flat plan like Escourtly's may fit better.
